Why are you in ministry?
Practically, it is the place where my passions, my challenges and weaknesses, and my talents converge. Emotionally, I can't imagine doing anything else with my life.
When Sami is not preaching, having ice cream dates with parishoners, or pouring over BOM papers, she is out living life to the fullest. An avid golfer, and part-time lifeguard in her "free-time", she can always be found outside looking for the next adventure. Currently serving as a provisional elder on track for ordination in Choteau Montana, this Montana girl accepted her call right out of college, into a ministry that, as Jeopardy host Alex Trebek once noted, "no one wants to go into..". Straight out of Duke Divinity school, and the youngest member of the Yellowstone Conference Clergy, Sami is living into her call. She is recently engaged to her loving fiance, Shane, and is excited to see where life will take them. Those who know her admire her enthusiasm, caring nature, compassion for people of all ages, and desire to change the world. For rest, Sami loves settling in to any trashy reality tv show, or a long run. She is always ready with a quote from "The Office" or a kind word of support for any who need it. Between working, playing, planning a wedding, and raising her beloved baby "Amos the Prophet", Sami believes she is where she needs to be, listening to the call, and living into it.
